Zonta is dedicated to achieving gender equality in education and supports scholarships, fellowships and awards for women and girls pursuing education and careers in these traditionally male-dominated fields.

 

Amelia Earhart Fellow

Zonta annually awards up to 35 Fellowships of US$10,000 each to women pursuing Ph.D./doctoral degrees in aerospace engineering and space sciences. 

 

Women in Business Scholarship

Zonta helps women pursuing undergraduate and master’s degrees in business management with 32 scholarships of US$2,000 each and an additional six scholarships of US$8,000 each annually. 

 

Women in Technology

Zonta encourages women to pursue education, career opportunities and leadership roles in technology in a new pilot program introduced in 2019.

 

Young Women in Public Affairs

Zonta recognizes young women for demonstrating leadership skills and commitment to public service with 32 awards of US$1,500 each and 10 additional awards of US$5,000 each annually.

 

Zonta Club of Buffalo Gallivan Award

The Zonta Club of Buffalo’s Gallivan Award recognizes students who have promoted the goals of Zonta International. Zonta International is a leading global organization of professionals empowering women worldwide through service and advocacy (www.zonta.org). The club was founded in Buffalo in 1919 by Marian de Forest and now has more than 28,000 members in 62 countries and geographic areas. All high school/home school college-bound seniors who are living or going to school in the city of Buffalo are encouraged to apply for this award.
